Surprised more incidents like this don't happen

I am a big Google fanatic - I promote their products a lot. The features they offer in so many different things such as mail, calendar, maps, groups, online workspace environments is incredible.

However sometimes technology off track... For example, those who don't know, you can text google on your phone (even without a data plan) and can get things like directions, addresses, movie showtimes etc sent to your phone instantly. However, if maps are replaced by anonymous directions, things are bound to go wrong:

For instance: check out this "right turn" at Summit Drive.

The directions will tell you to take a sharp right turn here, but clearly google street itself will show that there is a barrier here. Although people should be using these directions as a guide and consider what is ahead of them, in the snowy conditions that exist in Edmonton, sometimes things go off track - as they did with my friend and this turn.
